Terms of Service
In plain words
- Be a real person, use your real name, and do not use MyConnects to spam people.
- What you publish is yours. You give us permission to show it to the people you choose.
- Introductions are requests, never obligations. Anyone can decline without explaining.
- You can leave whenever you like, take your data with you, and we will delete the rest.
1.Who may use MyConnects
You need to be 18 or older and able to enter a contract where you live. One account per person — a business gets its own page, attached to the person who runs it, rather than a second personal account.
You must use the name people would recognise you by. Pseudonyms undermine the only thing that makes an introduction worth accepting.
If we suspend an account we tell you why and what would fix it, unless telling you would help someone evade a safety measure.
2.Your account and your username
Your username is the address of your public page. It is yours while your account is active. Reserved words, names that impersonate someone else, and names registered only to resell are not available.
If you delete your account your username is released, and someone else may claim it. If you want to keep it, deactivate instead of deleting.
You are responsible for what happens under your login. Turn on every verification we offer, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
3.What you publish
You keep ownership of everything you put on MyConnects — your profile, your page, your links, your messages. You give us a licence to store it and show it to the people your privacy settings allow, and nothing beyond that.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your private messages or your relationship graph to train models for anyone else.
Do not publish anything you do not have the right to publish, and do not use a payment or booking block to take money for something you cannot deliver.
4.Introductions, vouches and messages
An introduction request is a request. The person in the middle can accept, decline or ask for more information, and declining carries no penalty and no notification to the person you asked about.
A vouch is a statement of fact about how you know someone — that you worked with them, hired them, bought from them. Do not write one for someone you have not actually dealt with. Vouches that turn out to be fabricated are removed, and repeated fabrication ends the account.
Messaging is for conversations the other person would want. Bulk identical outreach is spam here the same as anywhere else.
5.Acceptable use and moderation
No harassment, no scraping, no automated account creation, no attempts to reconstruct the relationship graph of people who have not chosen to share it with you.
We remove content and restrict accounts when they break these rules. Where a decision affects your account you can ask a person to look at it again.
6.Paid plans
Free stays free. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance, and you can change or cancel at any time — a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
If we change what a plan includes, we tell you before it takes effect, and you can leave at that price.
Prices are shown in USD and charged in your local currency where your payment provider supports it.
7.Ending your account
Deactivating hides you and keeps everything. Deleting is scheduled 30 days ahead, and signing in during those 30 days cancels it.
When a deletion runs we remove your profile, page, messages, introductions and vouches — including vouches you wrote for other people, which disappear from their profiles too.
Messages you have already sent remain in the other person's thread, attributed to a deleted account.
8.The boring but necessary parts
MyConnects is provided as it is. We do not promise that an introduction will happen, that a person is who a vouch says they are, or that a deal will come of any of it — the product surfaces signals, and judgment stays with you.
Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
